Amigos

In 2020 when covid-19 hit, I was laid-off from work and had to spend a lot of time at home with nothing much to do. That’s when I first started to draw and paint. 

I am fascinated and inspired by the human struggle in developing countries and their incredible resilience in the face of so much hardship. It is something very close to my heart as I, myself, was born and raised in a third world country. I find myself constantly counting my blessings, which helps to keep me humble and grounded.

In ‘Amigos’, I tried to capture the joy the simple task of a photo being taken gives to these boys.
