Every Firefighter Has a Story

I was inspired by my brother-in-law who has been a volunteer firefighter for over 10 years.

During our family gatherings, he would tell us many stories about the smoke, fire, and destruction of homes, and the horrible car accidents where he had to save lives, before being summoned away for another emergency. 

I created a portrait that aims to capture the essence of these tireless and selfless acts that would be etched in his memory forever.

Hopefully, this is an artwork that shows my gratitude and appreciation to him, and helps to give him the honour and respect that he truly deserves as a frontline worker.
