Isolation at the beginning of the pandemic was scary.

Confined to my house I began to appreciate things which I had previously taken for granted. I soon realized I was waiting with anticipation for each delivery of fresh, beautifully coloured vegetables which I had started to order weekly. The deliveries were such a welcome sight in my new world of limited to no outings.

I have a fundamental interest in plant and animal life, drawing much of my influence from nature. When I looked out at my winter ravaged garden, the arrival of these wonderful vegetables offered me a sense of hope.

To paint them was my therapy.
