“If you look closely, art subjects are everywhere. Nature provides powerful visual references for my art. I encountered this Oakville-Bronte area Lake Ontario shoreline on a brisk October morning with very angry water and sky. It presented a perfect setting for another piece in my ongoing Lakeshore painting series. The sunrise is deliberately not shown directly, rather seen reflected in the clouds and on the wet rocks. No matter where you live, experiencing nature is universal and I strive to realistically capture images that people can relate to and appreciate.”
