I create because it is in me and it needs to be expressed. This soundless insistent force is like an itch that has to be scratched. I am always aware of the need to move it out into the open and inform the viewer. I am not sure how long I have been carrying this. What I do know is that when I picked up a brush and began mixing colour, I had found a way to release this point of view… this fascination with all things natural and living.

I paint in a semi-realistic style, allowing for artistic expression. My preferred mediums are oil and acrylic.  I am a full-time painter and work in my home studio in Hamilton ON Canada. I love this country and have lived in five of 10 provinces. My art is inspired by the images of the natural world gathered by exploring this beautiful country.
