Artist Biography 

Lisa Smith is a Canadian visual artist working in watercolour and oil. Smith attended the Ontario College of Art, receiving an OCA medal upon graduation. Recently, she returned to OCAD University and received her Bachelor of Design.

Her paintings are represented in many private collections in Canada, USA, Bahamas, Bermuda and Australia.

Smith has worked professionally as an illustrator for editorial, advertising and corporate clients, including The University of Ontario, Rotman School of Management, University Affairs, Harry Rosen, Food & Drink, Canadian Living, Canadian Gardening, Hambly & Woolley Inc, Underline Studios and Annick Press. Lisa Smith lives and works in Port Credit, Ontario.

Artist Statement
In her work, Lisa Smith uses portrait and still life to explore personal objects and places that are imbued with memory and meaning.

With every painting, she investigates how memories are embedded and have the power to connect her to a person or moment in her life, exploring time and history.
